Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it’s an ache I still remember
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I’ll admit that I was glad it was over
But you didn’t have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don’t even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and I feel so rough
No you didn’t have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don’t need that though
Now you’re just somebody that I used to know
- Gotye featuring Kimbra “Somebody That I Used To Know”
This song was featured on Glee with Blaine and his brother Cooper singing to each other. Even though it’s about a break-up, I think it really worked for their fractured relationship. A lost familial connection can be even more damaging.
- Having sex every day.
- Saving sex for your wedding night.
- Never having sex.
- Having sex with different people.
- Having sex with one person.
- Having sex with a person of your same gender.
- Loving sex.
- Hating sex.
- Being loud.
- Being quiet. The only thing wrong with sex?
When it’s not consensual.
Because that’s not sex. That’s rape.
Agree.
Hey Guys,
My name is Josh Gondelman. I’m a writer and comedian living in New York City. Sometimes, though, I get to travel around the country and do comedy in other places. Most of the time, that’s great. But at night, after the shows, it’s a little solitary. Sure, there’s the internet, but…
Josh Gondelman is hilarious. He also does not murder people. Y’all should get on this.
